Arrests AnthonyDouglasBrothers: 49,ofRedBluffwasarrested Monday in the area of Oak and Johnson streets and booked into Tehama County Jail on the charges of carrying dirk or dagger, possession of controlled substance for sale, possession of firearm by felon and driving on suspended license. Rafael Rodriguez-Guzman: 50, of Corning was arrested Monday in the area of the Lassen Steak House in Vina and booked into jail on the charges of possession of leaded cane, billy club, black jack, possession of controlled substance and possession of controlled substance for sale. Fire 22000block of Panama Avenue: A single-wide trailer caught fire early Tuesday in the El Camino area. Cal Fire responded at 7:24a.m. to the fully involved fire and contained it at 8:17a.m. There were four individuals in the home who were sent to St. Elizabeth Community Hospi- tal due to smoke inhalation. Suspicious Gentry Way: A Red Bluff resident reported a man was in her front yard about 10a.m. Monday, but hopped over the fence when he realized he had been seen. Main Street: Officers were called to the Classic Inn at 4:20a.m. Tuesday for a mental evaluation a er it was reported that a naked man was running in the hallways and an office window had been smashed with bricks. Ridge Road: Extra patrol was requested in the area of Ridgeway Park a er a lock was tampered with on the front gate for the radar base. The s Loleta Avenue, Corning: A black double-axle PJ manu- factured 18-foot flatbed trailer was stolen over the weekend from Lucero Olive Oil, where a fence was cut down. The trailer has a long, wooden deck with a beaver tail on the back, I-beam tongue and RD stickers. Fourth Street: Sometime within the past two weeks, a red Jetmo 4wheeler, valued at $800was stolen from the backyard of a Red Bluff residence. Everett Freeman Way: A vehicle was broken into and alcohol was stolen sometime Sunday evening at the Roll- ing Hills Casino. Threats McLane Avenue: A man reported his neighbor threat- ened to get a gun and kill him. Vandalism MainStreet: Anthony Edward Griech, Jr., 20, was cited and released on the charge of vandalism a er he reportedly punched someone's vehicle window and broke it. To prepare meatballs, combinegroundbeef,apples, pears, onion, eggs, bread crumbs, ground almonds, salt, allspice, nutmeg and pepper, mixing thoroughly. Shape into about 5 dozen 1 inch balls; coat with flour. Saute slivered al- monds in 2 tablespoons butter in large frying pan until golden; remove and reserve. Add two more ta- blespoons butter to frying pan (add more as needed). Carefully brown meatballs in batches on all sides; re- move and reserve. Pour off drippings. Topreparesauce,combine apple juice, bouillon, brown sugar, vinegar and lemon juice, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add reserved al- monds and meatballs. Cover tightly; cook over medium low heat 20 to 25 minutes. Remove meatballs; keep warm. Combine water and corn- starch; stir into cooking liq- uid. Bring to a boil, cook and stir until thickened. Serve meatballs and sauce over cooked rice or noodles. Makes8servingsPrepara- tion time: 50 minutes Cook- ing time: 39 minutes.
