A new executive council has been elected and 17 new members were initiated last semester, one of our larger classes in recent memory. We have five spring pledges so far this year. Their names are Logan Bailey, Christian Phillips, Jackson Van Den Heuvel, Kolton Vinzant, and Alan Castro. We are excited to welcome these men into our brotherhood. Last fall during Dad's Weekend, members did landscape work for Hope Ministries of Faith, an organization that helps people struggling with addiction and homelessness. Nearly 50 members helped with improvements such as cutting trees to make room for expansions and moving rocks to improve drainage. We will continue our partnerships with Hope Ministries of Faith and other philanthropic organizations in Des Moines and across the country, including the USO and Belize Dance Marathon. Gamma Tau has excelled in academics. Some substantial changes from the scholarship chairman resulted in our cumulative GPA increasing to 3.2. We will study hard to keep improving in the new semester. On behalf of the Gamma Tau Chapter, thank you to our alumni, parents, and benefactors who help us in our journey.
