THETA GAMMA NEWS Outside • Upgraded all landscaping with beautiful new magnolia trees and all-white flowers • Replaced the white fence on the west side • Added furniture to Delta Beach and all-new cushions and umbrellas, which the girls love • Installed new windows on the east side • Applied for and received grants for outside windows from our national organization, which we have done every year SMALL CONTRIBUTIONS, BIG IMPACT (Continued from page 1) North Wing (Formerly the Annex) • Added new heating and air system that is regulated in each room (with master controls so it can't be too hot or cold). This was a very large expenditure, costing more than $80,000. This system works so well, and the chapter members are so happy with it, that we will put it in the entire upstairs during the summer. The preliminary work for this began during the winter break. The air and heat upgrade for the entire house is more than $380,000. • Installed new flooring in all the rooms and hallway; the entire north wing has a beautiful wood look that is also easy to maintain • Turned each of the three-person rooms into two-person rooms by eliminating the sleeping porch and conference room and turning them into additional rooms • Added closet doors in each room • Added new bedroom furniture in all rooms, while the chapter purchased new mattresses for all beds Upstairs • Added new bedroom furniture and mattresses • Removed old broken mirrored doors in center hall and replaced them with nice beige curtains • Updated the entire TV room PAGE 2
