The shows will be at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are now available at the Q.I.A. and also at the Reader's Oasis Bookstore on E. Main St. Paul will be accompanied in his show by Will "Ol' Willie Boy" Pirone, his boyhood friend and virtuoso blues harmonica player who has been fl ying in from Maine for the past several years just to be here for these shows. He was Paul's fi rst harmonica player back in the 70s when they played blues clubs together on the east coast, and he also coordinated jazz and blues festivals and played in orchestras. Also in the "All Star Sweet Stomp Orchestra" will be Buddy Apfel, tuba and trombone player from Phoenix who has played with Guy Lombardo and many other jazz bands, and Steve Hohstadt from Quartzsite, who plays guitar and is a singer songwriter and produced some of the CDs of their last shows. Local musician Ray Zimpher plays trumpet and does gospel shows around town during the winter and he will also be playing in these concerts. The shows at the Q.I.A. have been very successful for the past several years and he has had many other musicians playing with him during that time. Two of the most popular musicians that used to be with him Jerry Mullins and Ralph Martin have passed away in the last two years, and he will be doing a special song for each of them in these shows. Be sure to get your tickets early--they are only $10. per person and well worth the price for some of the best boogie/woo- gie, blues, jazz, gospel, country and more that will be part of these shows. For further information, please call 927-6551.
