I'll stay out of national commentary, how- ever I really like the quote, " The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guar- anteed." So hang on folks, because it's going to be a wild ride! Peak Season was a bit cold and windy for much of the time, but folks enjoyed fi nding deals all over town. Volunteers over at the Quartzsite Improvement Assoc. said they had a great show this year! I'm impressed every year, seeing hundreds of vol- unteers put on that amazing QIA Gem & Mineral Show. Our volun- teers in town really ROCK! Kenny King, of the "Big Tent", hinted of a new addition coming next year, so stay tuned for more info! RVers visiting Quartzsite are younger than in years past and they enjoy a variety of different lifestyles. We had a lot more questions at the new chamber where folks could go hiking and off-road trails. The Escapees Boomers Club members showed up in force out at Scadden Wash. Happy Hour included rock music from the 60's & 70's. Van dwellers also gathered to share tips of simple living with each other, while other "Birds of a Feather" groups gathered together with like- minded RVers. Deals are still being found all over town as vendors are still offering their wares at multiple swap meets. Restaurants are now accessible. Now that it's warming up, get out and "wander" around. With Valen- tine's Day around the corner, let love fi nd its way into your heart in these crazy times. (Okay, I said I wouldn't go there, but we gotta stick together with whatever changes may come.) Keep breathing, and let love rule your life! Peace, Love & Joy..that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it! FEB. 2 Town of Quartzsite invites every- one to attend the next meeting of Neighborhood Watch at 6:00 PM, on THURSDAY, FEB 2, 2017, at the Quartzsite Community Center. Chief William Ponce said he looks forward to working with the resi- dents to create a safer community. Launched in 1972, Neighbor- hood Watch counts on citizens to organize themselves and work with law enforcement to keep a trained eye and ear on their communities, while demonstrating their pres- ence at all times of day and night. Sponsored by the National Sher- iffs' Association (NSA), the Nation- al Crime Prevention Council says, "Neighborhood watch is one of the oldest and most effective crime prevention programs in the coun- try, bringing citizens together with law enforcement to deter crime and make communities safer."
