Mercy, which plays Division VI eight-man football, is scheduled to play its first game against Dunsmir High School on Aug. 24 at Dunsmir. The Spartans, a Divi- sion I team, open its varsity season at home against Oroville Aug. 31. Corey Hein coaches the varsity team.
