The com- pany re- ported net income of $ 4 5 7,0 0 0 f o r t h e t h r e e months ended Dec. 31, 2016 compared to net in- come of $144,000 for the same period last year. Di- luted earnings per share were $0.35 for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2016 compared to $0.11 for the same period last year. Net income for the year was $1,353,000, or $1.02 per diluted share compared to net income of $918,000, or $0.68 per diluted share, for the year 2015. The return on aver- age assets for the three months was 0.94% and the return on average eq- uity was 11.74%. For the year, the return on aver- age assets was 0.73% and the return on average eq- uity was 8.85%. "2016 was another great year for the com- pany," said President and CEO Jeff Finck. "The continued momentum in loan and deposit growth led to a 50% increase in diluted earnings per share and a 10% increase in book value per share." Net interest income was $1,819,000 for the quarter compared to $1,533,000 for the same quarter last year. For the year, net interest income was $6,679,000 com- pared to $6,076,000 for 2015 representing an in- crease of $603,000, or 10%. The company had total assets at Dec. 31, 2016 of $194.4 million, compared to $171.4 million at Dec. 31, 2015. Total loans outstand- ing at December 31, 2016, were $154.4 million com- pared to $137.1 million at Dec. 31, 2015, represent- ing an increase of $17.3 million, or 12.6%. Total deposits were $161.1 million at Dec. 31, 2016 compared to total deposits of $136.1 mil- lion at Dec. 31, 2015, rep- resenting an increase of $25.0 million, or 18.4%.
