AUNT HANNAH PROGRAM TO BRING
TOGETHER DGS ACROSS GENERATIONS
Local and Remote Participants Needed
A
lpha Omega chapter is implementing an Aunt Hannah program
where we pair alumnae with an Alpha Omega collegian. This pen
pal relationship is meant to develop deeper bonds of friendship through
the many generations of Delta Gamma. Aunt Hannahs are expected to
welcome their pal to Alpha Omega and keep in touch throughout important
milestones. This may include sending notes or small gifts during finals
week, recruitment and Initiation. Aunt Hannahs may also invite their pals
out for coffee or dinner if they are in the Fayetteville area. Do not miss
your chance to connect with a new Delta Gamma sister!
If you would like to join, please email ArkansasDGAlumnaeRelations@
gmail.com with your name, email, home address, Initiation year, chapter
of Initiation and area of work. This information is used to help us match
our pairs based on career and major.
We Can't Wait to Share What 2017 Brings
After Bid Day on September
11, Alpha Omega chapter
of Delta Gamma at the
University of Arkansas is
anchored for good.
Alpha Omega is honored to
partner with the Burlsworth
Foundation. Our women had a
great time showing the Burls Kids
around during a game day and are
excited to volunteer with vision
screenings, the Legends Dinner
and Walmart Eyes Vision Day.
Our sisters placed third in
Carol of the Greeks.
Our first Puppies & Pizza event
raised more than $7,800 for
Service for Sight.
(Left) Search "Delta Gamma Arkansas Bid Day 2016" on YouTube to watch a video of this
historic day. (Right) Collegians celebrated twin reveal in October. A twin reveal is used for new
chapters as a replacement for big/little reveal. Since everyone is a new member, each receives a
twin pairing for the first year, and the twins begin the foundation of their future family tree.
