For the 33rd year in a row, the Red Bluff School of the Music Arts will pre- sent a day of music Satur- day, March 13. Instructor Judi Richins and 62 students of piano, trumpet and voice, ranging from age 4 to adult, will per- form a variety of pieces. Also performing will be the Winter Choir and the MusiKids- Klass, consist- ing of 3- to 5-year-olds. They will be colorfully out- fitted for a Dixieland Jazz piece. Student Jessica Rabalais will be emcee. There will be two differ- ent concerts with different performers in each on Sat- urday. The first will be at 11 a.m., followed by a recep- tion at 1 p.m. for everyone who attends either concert. The second concert will begin at 2 p.m. The event will be at the First Church of God, corner of Luther and South Jack- son streets. Thirty-four stu- dents, who have memorized five performance pieces and have entered and passed the annual adjudication this year, will be awarded medals and trophies for their accomplishments. Special recognition plaques will be awarded to eight students for their excellent musicianship. Purchased with fundraiser money, the kid-friendly, touch-screen system will provide years of learning fun. Software included in the package helps kids with concepts of math, science, and reading.
