Laaser '09 *2016 Donor Active Members Involved Throughout Campus Academic Achievement a Top Priority T he Delta Upsilon Chapter looks to continue our success from last year, and so far it has been a good start to the year. We have made progress in grades the last three years by increasing our overall chapter GPA every semester and we are working hard to continue that trend. Scholarship is an area we always want to improve on and, as a group, we are constantly trying to think of new ideas to improve and jump up in the rankings. The chapter's football team started off strong and has their eye on the championship this year. Involvement around campus has been great with members on the club lacrosse team, club soccer team, club rugby team, Student Governing Association, cheer team, SRC, and more. The last three summers, we have sent four members to Horizons, which is a leadership program led by National. The program is held in Utah, outside of Salt Lake City. Recruitment went well this year and we welcomed 19 new pledges into the chapter. In an effort to give back to the community, the entire chapter volunteered at the Manhattan Recycle Center the day after the first K-State home football game. Goals for this year include increasing our involvement with other fraternities and sororities by attending and participating in their philanthropy events as well as continuing to move up in grades every semester.
