AlwAys Anchored Epsilon Chapter of Delta Gamma • The Ohio State University • Fall 2016 ANCHORING A NEW FUTURE FOR EPSILON CAMPAIGN GAINS TREMENDOUS MOMENTUM Add Your Name to a Piece of History by Sending in Your Gift Today A s 2016 comes to an end, we have much to be thankful for, including Epsilon Chapter and our Delta Gamma sisterhood. The Anchoring a New Future for Epsilon campaign has brought us much joy in 2016, as we've seen sisters from all generations come together to support our project. We are grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with our alumnae while working to create an updated, safe, and welcoming home for our undergraduate sisters. We are thankful for the 160-plus alumnae who have already helped make this campaign a tremendous success. With over $604,000 raised toward our $750,000 goal, 2016 has been a very prosperous year and we thank you all for your support. After a lot of behind-the-scenes work this fall, the house renovation is poised to move forward at full pace in the spring of 2017: • Our biggest hurdle this fall was the process of zoning, but we finally made it past the Columbus zoning board at the end of October. • The contractor is finalizing the design budget and construction will begin in the spring. • Our collegians will continue to lease the KKG house through the 2017-18 school year. It's going to be a busy next few months! If you're one of the 1,600 sisters who has not contributed to the Anchoring a New Future for Epsilon campaign, now is the time. We would love for you to be involved and help us reach our goal of $750,000. Any gift amount is needed and appreciated. If you have already contributed, please consider using the enclosed pledge form to increase your gift by 20% or to add a sixth year to your existing pledge schedule. More donations are needed to ensure our project can happen as envisioned. We are thankful for the lifelong sisterhood and friendships we've made through our journeys with Delta Gamma. At the core of this campaign is the goal to anchor a solid foundation for the future of our chapter, ensuring the Delta Gamma sisterhood at Ohio State will be around for years to come. We hope you also see the importance and value of this project and will add your name to the list of women making an impact on Epsilon's future. Working with the building committee so closely over the last several months has given us an insight into how truly special this house is to its alumnae, and we are looking forward to furthering the design with the hope to make it that kind of place for many more DGs to come. Other projects at Ohio State of which Acock Associates was the architect firm include the renovation of the University Thompson Library, William Hall (dorm), Student Academic Services building, Buckeye Village Community Center, Sullivant Hall renovation, North Campus dorms renovation and build, and Pomerene and Oxley Halls renovation. Sincerely, Mitchell D. Acock
