Page 3 S A E T he brothers of SAE continue to excel on campus. Our fraternity's GPA is among the top 10 fraternities on campus, our service hour total is among the top five, and our philanthropy dollars raised and new members recruited lead all fraternities on campus. What's more, we maintain these high standards while boasting an active membership that is now more than 160 undergraduates strong. Each of these men contributes enormously to a fraternity that is not only leading the way on campus, but also among SAE chapters across the nation. PHILANTHROPY Indiana Beta's presence in the West Lafayette community is stronger than ever. Over the last year, our undergraduate brothers have logged more than 1,800 community service hours through organizations like Food Finders, PUDM, Pete's Pals, and College Mentors for Kids. This statistic is matched by equally impressive financial contributions, which last year totaled more than $23,000. This is in no small part due to our newly revitalized Paddy Murphy Week tradition where members raised nearly $12,000 and contributed 500 service hours in only one week. ACADEMICS Our brothers also hold academic excellence as a top priority. Our fraternity has collectively earned a 3.07 cumulative GPA, which is well above the all-men's 2.85 GPA. Our scholastics are bolstered by our generous alumni who have helped maintain our house's desktop computers, upgraded our internet infrastructure, and supplied scholarships for high-achieving brothers. This success in the classroom has had a direct translation to the professional world. Individual brothers are routinely earning offers from Fortune 500 companies while our fraternity as a whole has won the Purdue CCO's Career Week for two straight years. HONORS The success of our fraternity can be attributed, in part, to our quality of membership. SAE's achievements have been recognized by the Interfraternity Council (IFC) with awards for best public relations, alumni relations, and academic excellence this year. Furthermore, brothers have been honored with the IFC Outstanding Leader of the Year, Brother of the Year, and Philanthropist of the Year awards over the last two years. Beyond IFC recognition, SAE has earned six intramural championships this calendar year and been represented with a Purdue Homecoming court finalist for three consecutive years. Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Purdue strives to be the idyllic, well-rounded fraternity, and with more than 45 quality new recruits being welcomed this fall, I believe our upward trend will continue. Our alumni support has proven invaluable to our success and we are incredibly grateful for our brothers past and present. Without your support, we could not have achieved what we have. We hope that you can stop by after a football game or during our spring alumni gala to see the chapter in action and meet some of the undergraduates.
