Each Young Marine must complete five different exer- cises on their semi-annual physical fitness test (PFT) and obtain a minimum score for their age group in order to be considered for various schools, programs and adventures each summer. The first PFT is done between Jan. 1 and June 30 and the second between July 1 and Dec. 31 each year. Both must be completed each year for consideration of a school, program or adventure away from home the following year.
