2 NU NEWS I t has almost been a year in the making, but we are approaching the start of demolition and reconstruction of the dining room—soon to be christened as the Rock Room. We plan on beginning during winter break and expect to be finished by the start of the second semester. The Rock Room will have a new porcelain tile floor, baseboards, blinds, LED lighting, ceiling tiles, tables, chairs, steam table and new appliances, cabinetry, and decorative pictures. The back entryway will also receive much-needed attention with new flooring and updated décor. The Rock Room will feature a new display case to showcase all eight of our Rock Chapter awards and acknowledge the many alumni brothers who have generously supported this project. I am pleased to report that we have reached our fundraising goal of $125,000. However, donations are still appreciated, and it is not too late to participate.
