Forever Home 603 Kentucky Alpha Mu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Missouri P hase II of construction involves reconfiguring the first floor to maximize study and meeting spaces, adding additional restrooms for guest use on the first floor, and filling in the courtyard to add additional bedrooms. We've been so pleased by the progress, which took a brief hiatus during work week and recruitment. Although the chapter house is only half full this year due to the construction, when it is finished, more than 100 women will be able to live in each semester. With the help of your continued donations, we will complete the final phase of construction by fall 2017. Phase III involves renovating the original portion of the first floor, updating old addition bedrooms, and expanding existing bathrooms and the house's laundry facilities. We know these updates will serve the needs of our members for years to come. This project has been made possible by the donations of our generous alumnae. If you still want to learn more about the project before making your pledge, please let us know. As it was last fall, it was a pleasure to see so many of you return to 603 for football weekend tailgates on the new Theta patio. We hope to see you on the patio again next fall during football season. Patio parties are a great opportunity to see our home's new spaces. Also, be sure to follow our furniture sale on Facebook if you'd like a piece of Theta in your own home. View page 6 if you need the link to that sale. Those who have been able to return to the house have hopefully seen the amazing collection of historic photos in the dining room. Although we have many historic items, we are eager to display more to highlight our chapter's long legacy. If you have any historic photos or other items for display in the house that you could donate, please reach out to me or FCB treasurer Annie Hildebrandt at hildebrandtannie@gmail.com by December 31. Our interior designers would love to have more to work with! On behalf of the Facility Corporation Board and our amazing collegians (including 82 new members!), we thank you for your support during this construction project. It's a privilege to serve the chapter during this exciting time, and we hope you all have the opportunity to soon visit our forever home on Kentucky Boulevard.
