Our Tradition, Our Key, Our Future 5 delta psi Chapter excited for new lodge, Focused on the Bonds of sisterhood t he Delta Psi Chapter at Texas Tech is continuing to grow, along with our lodge, which will be completed by spring 2017. We are so excited to let our story continue as the walls are being built. We just welcomed 71 new members, and I am so excited to get to know each and every one of them. Recruitment wouldn't have been the same without the hard work of elizabeth Stelly '14, Sara Summers '14, emily olsen Manning '06, and Jan Law thetford '77. hoMeCoMinG CeLeBRationS At Homecoming this fall, we had so much fun bonding as a chapter and rallying behind our Homecoming nominee, Shelby Maresca '13. On October 11, Delta Psi and our partner, Sigma Phi Epsilon, competed in a dance competition, known as So- Sing. Lauren Shannon '13 did an amazing job organizing Kappa Homecoming events. SiSteRhood aCtivitieS So far this semester, we've had three sisterhood events. The first event was with the members of Pi Beta Phi. Together we listened to a speaker give her personal testimony on the dangers that college can bring. It was an amazing experience to share, as it helped us bond even more knowing that we, as Panhellenic women, will stand by each other throughout our lifetime. The second was a tie-dye shirt event at the park during Parent's Weekend. The third event was a kickball competition, which was a lot of fun and helped us relieve some stress before the fall semester finals begin. Kappa Love GRoWS The chapter had an amazing time at Presentation; special thanks to Bailey Shepherd '14 for putting it all together. This was a special time and truly showed our parents the values we hold as members of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Texas Tech University. Another fun event we had this fall was big/little reveal. Courtney Carelock '13 and Caitlyn Cannova '15 did a fantastic job making it fun and special for all the sisters, old and new. We thoroughly enjoyed our Founders Day dinner on October 10, as well as initiation on November 12. We look forward to more special and important sisterhood events, and I can't wait to see what next year has in store for the Delta Psi Chapter.
