T
he Beta Chi House Corporation has recognized the chapter house is rapidly becoming an antiquated facility for the modern
collegiate women. We have put much thought into how we should rectify this issue, and through careful study, assessment,
and planning, it has been determined that expanding and renovating the chapter house is necessary. Kappa Kappa Gamma must
invest in our home to meet the needs of today's students.
Goals for the renovation
1. Maintain the existing "historic" structure at 238 E. Maxwell while providing necessary upgrades and accommodations.
2. Build additional bedrooms to increase the live in capacity from 42 to 70 women. Provide state of the art technology and
security upgrades to the entire facility.
3. Add new, 29,000-square-foot addition designed with spaces large enough to provide social interaction, study space, and
sisterhood activities for the entire chapter.
4. Provide a dining room with flexible seating for the entire chapter for formal dinners and smaller group dinners, as well as a
completely renovated restaurant-caliber kitchen designed to adequately service a chapter as large as Beta Chi.
5. Become ADA complaint to better serve all members, potential members, and guests.
6. Provide a renovated facility while keeping living cost competitive with other NPC groups and the university. The average
cost of a UK dorm is $6,673 plus versus the average cost of the Beta Chi house at $5,140.
