Theta Kite 2 KAPPA ALPHA THETA SUCCEEDS IN RECRUITMENT, PHILANTHROPIC EVENTS A lpha Chi has been quite busy this fall. It all began with the start of recruitment in August, and we have been on the go ever since. We successfully recruited a class of 49 wonderful new members and we are so happy. The women are eager to become closer to the active members and are at the chapter house often utilizing our library to study. We had an executive leadership consultant from headquarters visit us during recruitment—her help was greatly appreciated! Headquarters also sent a risk prevention volunteer on a goodwill educational visit. She provided various ways on how to keep the chapter safe. Our new house director, Mary Guckien, has fit perfectly into Theta. We are delighted to have her and we are also delighted with our brand new first floor. Recently, we paired with Alpha Tau Omega for a philanthropy event and hosted our annual CASA Grill Off on October 16. Initiation was on October 21 and elections occurred on November 5. Executive board members are sad to end their term, but excited to see what is in store for the future.
