The Alpha Chi Chapter Educational Foundation Awards Seven Scholarships F ounded in 2012 to assist the Century of Sisterhood campaign and to begin an ongoing scholarship program, the Alpha Chi Chapter Educational Foundation is doing well! Thanks to donations from Thetas and friends across the country, the Foundation has awarded grants for educational improvements to the chapter house and has now awarded eleven $500 scholarship awards to women living in the chapter house. The awards, based on scholarship, leadership, and service to the chapter and the campus, have made an impact on the recipients. Seven women, pictured above, received awards this year. Recipient Carly Bailey '14 said, "This is a great honor to have been chosen. It is my goal to use this scholarship with great integrity. I am so fortunate to be supported by my sisters as well as this board." Recipient Rachel Hoagburg '14 said, "I greatly appreciate your willingness to donate and to encourage college women to value our education. Thank you for supporting the importance of our education." Thank you to all of you who have made contributions to the Education Foundation, often in memory of or in honor of a sister or family member. Thanks also to those of you who purchased items at the Theta centennial and who have registered with Amazon Smile. In order to go forward with an impact, we need further financial support. Please consider monthly or annual giving to the Foundation, as well as inclusion in your financial planning. No gift is too small!
