3 Long-Lost Love Found M any sisters from the mid-'70s recall Pam Green '75 and Eric Blessing dated throughout college. Pam and Eric graduated and moved to different cities to lead separate lives. Forty years later, when both discovered the other was divorced, they rekindled their romance with Eric proposing to Pam on the bean last fall. BETA SIGMA SISTER REMEMBERS FUN MEMORIES 60 YEARS LATER E dee Edens Kurze '53 donated her rubies and pearls "pin" to a future new member. Of course, I inquired if Edee recalled whom our exterior pin light memorializes. She did not recall, but cited two short stories too good not to share. "In the '50s, the fraternity men stole our soft drink vending machine from the chapter house frequently. Our girls finally got even and stole the front door off the fraternity's house, holding it until the Coke machine was returned!" "We wanted to decorate our house for the holidays and our funds were low. The same fraternity told us where we could find all sorts of evergreen boughs to decorate the chapter house. As I was one of the few women in the house with a car, I drove four others out into the snowy country roads, following the map provided by the men. We cut down tree trimmings, only to be caught by the owner of the property— Purdue's head of agriculture! Needless to say, we were all placed on disciplinary probation for a semester for our fun escapade." Ahh, the fun memories! They remind me of my pledge sisters running amuck at the old Phi Psi house at Grant and Northwestern. We look forward to hearing more stories from our sisters, young and old.
