ANCHOR Gamma Xi Fall 2013 Gamma Xi Chapter of Delta Gamma at Texas Tech University - Fall 2016 W E D I D I T ! The new Delta Gamma lodge is beautiful at dusk. Our new kitchen is big enough for any function and quite cool as well. B eginning in 2013, Gamma Xi collegians and alumnae were challenged to be the instigators of a new era on Greek Circle at Texas Tech University and the challenge has been met! Delta Gamma has completed a stunning 10,000-square-foot lodge that has set the standard for all other women's fraternities to follow. Gamma Xi: the first to dare…the first to break ground…the first to complete a vibrant new facility for our sisterhood for decades to come. The initial fundraising goal was to raise a minimum of $700,000 to have the financial security of such a massive undertaking. And we did it! With the efficient and disciplined financial management of the collegiate chapter, they stepped up with the first major donation of $114,000. From there, 287 of our sisters have raised our total to $739,042. With the lodge complete and our preliminary financial goal met, we are announcing that the Building on a Tradition of Excellence campaign will come to a close on December 31, 2016. There is still time to be a part of our Legacy Hall by donating $2,500 or more. Your name and dedication will be inscribed, along with many other sisters, on our beautiful commemorative plaque. Please consider a donation of any amount that will take Gamma Xi securely into her future. And, of course, it can't stop here! Gamma Xi collegians, along with the guidance of local alumnae, have staked a position of leadership and excellence that sends a clear message that Delta Gamma is strong and here for the duration. Delta Gamma is here for good and for life. We will continue to communicate with all of our sisters as this chapter sustains its success and reaches for higher marks. Keep your eye on those girls who wear the golden anchor! (Left) Recruitment decorations were beautiful. (Right) Gamma Xi House Corporation Board won a national award. If so, please consider a gift to cover one of the many items the lodge needs to complete the interior. You can even join together with your pledge class sisters and provide funding for something like patio furniture or the living room étagères. We will commemorate your group contribution so all can see your love of DG.
