AlumnAe Volunteers needed to reAch sisters
W
ith fall in full swing in Tuscaloosa, plans for the new Alabama
Beta Chapter house continue to move forward. Having sifted
through construction bids, we are happy to share that construction is set
to begin this month. The chapter is adjusting to their "home away from
home" and is incredibly grateful for all the alumnae contributions that
will lead them toward a new chapter house to enjoy in the spring of 2018.
Naming opportunities will be announced soon, and we will need donations
of all sizes to help complete this new home.
The Chapter House Corporation (CHC) is looking for volunteers from
different member classes and decades to help make sure we are reaching
all of our sisters. Ideally, we would like to find someone from every ten
years who would be willing to get a few other friends in that same era
period to then contact everyone else. Additionally, as the building process
continues, CHC will need volunteers to help at every stage. We are
looking for a Volunteer Coordinator, Fundraising Campaign Committee
Chairwoman and members, Publicity Committee Chairwoman and
members, Interior Design Committee Chairwoman and members, Events
Committee Chairwoman and members and a Logistics/Maintenance
Committee Chairwoman and members. More detailed specifics for each
committee will be listed on our Facebook page.
To raise funds for our new home, CHC is selling bricks from the old house,
which were saved before the demolition. They are $25 each if you can pick
them up in Tuscaloosa, and $35 to have them mailed. To order your brick
today, simply fill out the order form on our Facebook page.
