It began as a martial art in China. Tai Chi has gained enormous popularity in America and through- out the rest of the world for its health benefits for body and mind. Harvard University is calling it, "Medicine in Motion." Some of the benefits include improved range of motion and better balance, reduced pain and stiffness, Enhanced sleep, increased immunity. YOGA according to the dictionary is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic dis- cipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation. Please join us for the opportunity to improve your health. COMPUTING FOR SENIORS In this course we will utilize the book "Computing for seniors" written by Sue Price. This course for seniors is updated to cover today's computing on the go lifestyle. Computing for seniors in easy steps demystifies the world of Tablet, PCs, touchscreens, apps, internet, email, Skype, digital photography, online shopping and more. Halloween falls on Monday this year, so this year's HALLOW- EEN Pumpkin Path Party will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29. Fun starts at the Community Cen- ter, where there will be games, free hot dogs for the kids, costume con- test with lots of categories, prizes and more. Businesses, Organizations, RV Parks and Groups are encouraged to participate Trick-or-Treating along the Haunted Walking Path along E. Quail Trail, from Commu- nity Center to Town Hall. You can set up a "station" (Table, Tradition- al Trunk or Treat, Booth, Themed Spooky Scene, etc.) Prizes will be awarded again this year! The Youth Council will be orga- nizing the Haunted House in the Library this year at the end of the Halloween Walk. If you'd like to volunteer, please attend the next planning meeting 5pm Tuesday, Sept. 20th, at the Community Center. Check out the Facebook group, "Halloween in Quartzsite" for more details.
