My La Paz organization released a beautiful 30-minute video thanking
partners and sharing the successes of their first year. AZARA (Arizona
Amateur Radio Assoc.) is a youth-led organization exploring the many
wonders and possibilities that exist in radio science, amateur radio and
space research.
Dave Anderson stated, "We deliver fun and engaging learning opportu-
nities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and work
hand-in-hand with local schools, communities, families and amateur ra-
dio clubs to create new opportunities to inspire and lift our youth up into
learning and possible careers in radio & space science delivers programs
working in cooperation with area schools, youth organizations, commu-
nity leaders, town managers, regional not-for-profit organizations and a
large number of volunteers... all coming together for the single purpose
to create new hope and opportunities for our youth and families."
Anderson noted, "We have just completed our first year of new youth
projects and I want to thank everyone involved for making it happen!
As we prepare to make contact with the astronauts on the International
Space Station from Quartzsite, we want to thank all the residents and
organizations who made this and so much more possible for our youth."
