6B Daily News– Wednesday, July 4, 2012 COURT ROUND-UP The following defendants were sentenced in Tehama County Superior Court, according to the Tehama County District Attor- ney's Office: Recent State Prison Commitments • Jacob Dylan Cozine was sentenced to eight years and eight months is state prison for two counts of first degree residential bur- glary; second degree commercial burglary, special allegation-prior strike. —————— Cozine entered a grocery store, placed several items in his back- pack and proceeded to leave the store without paying for the items. He was originally granted formal probation. He violated his pro- bation when he failed to keep in contact with his probation officer and was arrested in NCR84187. • Monica Starr Souza was sentenced to three years and four months is state prison for theft, second degree commercial bur- glary; forgery; second degree commercial burglary. Souza was originally granted formal probation on all cases. She violated her probation when she was terminated from a court ordered program for failing to comply with the program guide- lines. • Saulo Daniel Eduardo was sentenced to two years is state prison for second degree robbery. Eduardo was originally granted formal probation. He violated his probation when he found to have consumed alcohol and drugs. • Robert Darol Wilson was sentenced to eight months is state prison, consecutive to a previous 16-month sentence for another case, for failure to appear while on bail. Wilson was released from custody on bail and failed to appear in court as ordered. Recent County Jail Commitments • Tony Trent Butisbauch was sentenced to 120 days in Tehama County Jail for sale of a controlled substance. During an undercover drug buy, the defendant sold metham- phetamine. The drug sale was monitored and recorded by T.I.D.E. agents. • Travis Levi Tostawas sentenced to 96 days in Tehama County Jail for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. Tostawas was 18 years old when he began having a sexual rela- tionship with the 13 year old victim. • Bryan William Aicherwas sentenced to 90 days in Tehama County Jail for possession of a controlled substance. Aicherwas was originally granted formal probation. He violated his probation when he failed to keep in contact with his probation officer. Special to the DN Governor's budget to ramp-up for Redding veterans home The California State Budget recently signed by Gov. Jerry Brown, among other things, provides funding that will allow the Veterans Homes of California in Fresno and Red- ding to begin hiring staff in anticipation of their opening. The final budget provides $4.2 million dollars and 38.3 positions for the Homes. Because of their relative size, Fresno will get $1.2 million and 10.7 positions; Redding will get $1.4 million and 12.9 positions. This funding aug- ments the $1.9 million and $1.4 million in funding for Fresno and Redding provided by the January 10, 2012 bud- get so skeleton maintenance crews could be hired maintain the Homes while they were vacant.
