Sometimes life, time, and distance weaken this bond. I've pledged to do as best as possible to strengthen this bond back to Florida Nu Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Why? Well, because it's about legacy. Our young Chapter has accomplished much in its short history, and yet, great things are ahead of us. So What? In life, having a positive impact on your family, faith, or community can leave your current situation in a better state for the future. You see this in great organizations with a tradition of excellence. In these organizations, it took certain individuals with a drive and vision to improve the organization and leave it better for those who will follow and lead it in the future. At the end, the efforts put into this work leaves the organization—whether it's a business, a non- or for-profit group, a university, a city, a state, or our fraternity—in a better position than when we started. This positive legacy will "move the needle" to excellence. We the brothers of SigEp Florida Nu, have this opportunity. Our legacies as the first national fraternity on FIU's campus, multiple winners of Buchannan Cups, and other great milestones have created a great expectation of our Chapter. The success of our alumni on multiple fronts—whether through the government, a business, or the entertainment field—furthers this expectation. Let us engage and create a momentum for this upcoming 30th anniversary in 2017 that will cement that legacy of excellence for many future generations of Florida Nu brothers. We need your time and talents to help us reach these ambitious goals, because a lack of ambition has never been a SigEp trait. As you will read in this edition of the newsletter, we have lined out many activities and goals for us to achieve. We can't do this without you. The Florida Nu AVC looks forward to working with all our brothers so we, together, can achieve this legacy of excellence that will cement our bright future.
