A : Evidently not, and for a couple of likely reasons. The shows' respective net- works, CBS and The CW, are co-owned — so it's probably less of a problem than it might be if Tyler was appear- ing simultaneously on two networks that were more-di- rect rivals. Also, when shows are in summer repeats (though some of the "Whose Line" episodes have been origi- nals), it's less of a crisis to have that situation. It only happened when The CW decided to move "Whose Line" from Monday to Wednesday, but if either network had a problem with it, that likely would have been addressed before the move happened. Q : Why didn't the series "Rush Hour" last very long? — Ryan Scott, Boul- der, Colo. A : It was due to the most typical reason a series is canceled, low ratings. Premiering in late March, it didn't have a lot of time to prove itself before CBS set the schedule for the 2016- 17 season ... and if a show doesn't distinguish itself quickly, when much new product is being considered by its network, chances are good it will fall off the radar fairly fast. However, after pulling "Rush Hour" from Thursdays, CBS did bring it back to let it play out its remaining ep- isodes on Saturdays — so that's something. Also, star Justin Hires made enough of a mark to be put in another CBS show; he'll be a regular on the new reboot of "Mac- Gyver."
