The group normally meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Monday of every month in the Columba Room at the Coyne Center. The next meeting will be Aug. 6 and the topic will be "Carb Counting & Glycemic Index." For more information call 527-5290. River Discovery Center Bird Walk in the months of July and August. The next official Bird Walk will be on Sept. 1, the first Saturday in September. There is always much to see if you want to grab your binoculars and bird book and head off to the Red Bluff Recreation Area — you might even run into a couple of other dedicated birders and have an impromptu adven- ture.
