PUBLISH: August 20, 2016 LEGAL NOTICE The Tehama County Flood Con- trol and Water Conservation Dis- trict (District) is soliciting appli- cations for five positions on the eleven member Tehama County Groundwater Commission (Com- mission). The Commission will have decision-making and advi- sory responsibilities pertaining to groundwater management in the eleven sub-basins or por- tions thereof for which the Dis- trict has been designated as the Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) under the Sustain- able Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The five members shall be ap- pointed by the Board of Direc- tors of the Tehama County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, upon recommendation of the majority of the members of the Commission then appoint- ed and serving. The term of of- fice of such Commissioners shall be four years, except the initial members appointed un- der this subdivision shall classi- fy themselves by lot, with one member serving a term of one year, one member serving a term of two years, one member serving a term of three years, and two members serving a term of four years, so that the Commissioners' terms are even- ly staggered. The Commission and Board of Directors shall take into consid- eration all of the following crite- ria when recommending and ap- pointing members under subdi- vision.
