Hadlock, DVM, passed away peace- fully on July 17, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. John was born August 23, 1938 in Mesa, AZ to Clarence and Lois Hadlock. He graduated fro Arizona State University in 1960 and received his veterinary degree from Colorado State Uni- versity in 1965. In 1967, John moved to Blythe and opened Circle H Veterinary Hospital which he oper- ated until his "retirement" in 1989. His "retire- ment" did not last long. He opened a clinic in Quartzsite, Arizona which he operated until one week before he passed away. On August 9, 1969 John married Wanda Whitlock Prall. Together they raised two sons, George Prall, Jr. and Doug Prall. John was active in many local civic and com- munity organizations. He has been a member of, often serving as President, Blythe Rotary Club Colorado River Fair Board of Directors, Blythe Elks Club, Blythe Jaycees, and Palo Verde College Foundation. John was especially proud of his barbecuing skills. His pit barbecue helped raised money for many of these orga- nizations. In addition, John belonged to Alpha Gamma Rho - the National Agricultural Frater- nity. John was an avid hunter. He and Wanda, in addition to numerous family members and friends, hunted and fished all over the world. He said for years he wanted to die straddling a barbed wire fence with a gun in his hand and a bag full of pheasants on his shoulder. John is survived by Wanda, his wife of 46 years; his sons George Prall Jr. and Doug (Amber) Prall; grandchildren Travis Prall, Geoff Prall, Wayne Prall, and Kendall (Russell) Riggan; great grandchildren Kynlee and Rhett Rig- gan. He also leaves a sister Nancy (Bill) Smith; sisters-in-law Glenda (Dave) Crisp and Barbara (Bob) Holman; and numerous nieces and neph- ews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Friends of the Colorado River Fair at 591 N. Olive Lake, Blythe, CA. 92225 or contact Jay Abbs at 760-774-0549. Memorial services were held at the Colorado River Fairgrounds at 11:00 am on Friday, July 22nd. Dr. John C. Hadlock
