Alwa y s FREE! WHAT'S INSIDE Huge turnout for Meet the Candidates Forum Quartzsite Youth Council hosted their 2nd Annual National Dance Day (NDD) on Saturday, July 30th. NDD was created by Nigel Lythgoe, the co-creator of So You Think You Can Dance and co-president of the Dizzy Feet Foundation. National Dance Day Please DRIVE CAREFULLY Children are Quartzsite, AZ - Over 30 State, County and Lo- cal Candidates attended Meet the Candidates Forum held Tuesday, August 2nd at the Senior Center. The Forum was hosted by Quartzsite Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, Quartzsite Rotary, and Quartzsite VFW Post 769. The public browsed the candidates' tables set up in the small hall before moving into the large hall for the question-and-answer forum. Due to the overwhelming response from can- didates, they had 2 minutes for an introduc- tion and 2 minutes to answer predetermined questions. Candidates for Federal and State spoke first, followed by candidates for La Paz County Board of Supervisor District 2 & 3 races. Can- didates for County Sheriff, Assessor, Attorney, School Superintendent, Recorder were fol- lowed by candidates for Quartzsite mayor and council. Following the forum, residents visited with candidates. Organizers wish to thank all the volunteers who made this a successful event. ����� | S������ RAIN B���C��
