The return of Delta Gamma at Arkansas is already underway specifically in regards to chapter support, membership selection and chapter housing. Four full-time consultants will support the chapter in its first year on campus and two full-time consultants will remain on campus in its second year. Alpha Omega will also receive hands-on support from a Council Appointed Coordinator who focuses on chapter development, operations, programming and risk management, and a Collegiate Recruitment Consultant will guide the chapter in all recruitment-related efforts. Last, a local advisory team will be trained and ready to support the growth and development of the chapter for the coming years. After Arkansas's formal recruitment Bid Day, Alpha Omega's official process will begin. Delta Gamma staff members and volunteers will hold one week of "infoviews" to get to know potential new members and for the new members to get to know Delta Gamma. Following the week of infoviews, an invitation-only preference event will be held for potential new members. Delta Gamma will invite members from three other Delta Gamma chapters of similar size and campus culture to participate in the preference ceremony so that the new members can truly experience a Delta Gamma preference. Following preference, Alpha Omega will hold Bid Day for our newest members and will invite all alumnae to the celebration. CHAPTER HOUSING A home for our newest Alpha Omega sisters is of utmost importance to Delta Gamma Fraternity. When Delta Gamma made the commitment to return to the University of Arkansas, we did so with the intention to provide a premier living and learning facility for our future sisters. Over the past few years, a dedicated group of Delta Gamma staff members and Alpha Omega alumnae worked on a plan to provide a home that will fit the needs of a chapter at Arkansas. The University of Arkansas is one of the fastest growing public universities in the nation, reaching a record enrollment of 26,754 in the fall of 2015. This rapid growth has impacted Greek life significantly and the number of young women registering for recruitment has increased, making the size of sororities at Arkansas over 400 chapter members. To meet the needs of our members, we must ensure the Alpha Omega chapter is offering a first-class facility to our collegiate sisters. A competitive chapter house, in terms of technology and the lifestyle requirements of today's student, is essential to our long-term success in the Greek community at the University of Arkansas.
