A : If series are on during the "regular" television season and either continue or return during the summer, they're virtually always re- peats of what originally aired before their seasons ended. In the case of "Code Black," Season 1 ended significantly earlier — at the end of Feb- ruary — which left whether CBS would give it a Season 2 a serious question. New episodes will begin Sept. 28, with some very notable cast changes. Bonnie Somerville and Raza Jaffrey (seen in the current reruns) have left, but being added is Rob Lowe, playing a doctor with a military background ... and haircut, from what early photos from the set have indicated. Q : I am a big fan of Liev Schreiber and espe- cially enjoy him in "Ray Donovan." Did he ever do a TV show in the early '90s where he played an alien or someone with special powers? — Linda Kelly, Reading, Pa. A : The only other series he's done as a regular cast member — and even then, his run on it was limited — was "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" in 2007, and while his character didn't nec- essarily get along with every- one, he was by no means an alien. Schreiber did, however, have a role in the 1998 horror movie "Phantoms" that could partially fit the bill of what you're describing; we don't want to get too specific so as to not give away any spoilers, but perhaps that will provide some insight. At this writing, no plans had been confirmed for that, but it surely would be of interest to fans of the original show if its star turned up in some capacity on the new incarnation that premieres Sept. 23 on CBS (and has Lucas Till in the title role). It doesn't seem impossible, since Henry Winkler is returning as an executive producer of the reboot — and he's known to maintain good relations with those he's worked with before.
