p. 2 The SigEp Seminole remarkable to see how far the Chapter has come since then," he says. With the amount of success and momentum Florida Epsilon has cultivated over the years, it is Ted's hope that the Chapter will continue down the positive path it's on. "A Fraternity is only as strong as its members, and the thriving membership Florida Epsilon has today can be attributed to the strong foundation built by generations before them. To ensure the future of Florida Epsilon, we, as alumni, must continue to make sacrifices and play an active role in the Chapter's continued excellence." Ted retired after a rewarding career as a football official. He also served as commissioner for a high school football organization, and as treasurer and member of the board of directors for other football organizations. In 2011, Ted was inducted into the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame as Outstanding Football Official. He has been actively involved with Florida Citrus Sports as a volunteer. He is a member of the selection committee and serves as host for the football officials of both the Russell Athletic Bowl and the Citrus Bowl. His son, Steve, also serves on the selection committee. When he is not preoccupied with sports-related activities, you can find Ted fishing, boating, or spending time with his family. He and his wife of 54 years, Charlotte, who was the SigEp Queen of Hearts in 1961, have three other children: Debra, Michelle, and Scott. "One of my favorite memories in SigEp was pinning Charlotte and serenading her with the sweetheart song at her dorm with my Fraternity brothers. After the serenade, my brothers dumped me in the fountain," he jokes. You can contact Ted at hresorts@aol.com.
