WINTER HOURS November thru March Mon- Sat 9am-1pm New Youth program explores radio science This summer the youth in Quartzsite will have the oppor- tunity to get their amateur radio license, get on the air with their own radio, and learn to fly drones and the science that makes them work. The program will also provide participants the oppor- tunity to build and experiment with electronics, meet new friends from nearby or from around the world, and even help plan a radio contact with astronauts onboard the International Space Station. Participation and materials are FREE and youth ages 8 to 17 are welcome to join. Classes are being held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month from 2:00-4:00pm at the Quartzsite Town Hall. Then just as slowly it returns again, proving that wishes make it so, and creates a sense of awe in me that I still experience after all these many moons.
