E-mail: rjasp13@yahoo.com Mu Chapter has made great strides in recruitment, philanthropy, and service, setting the tone for the coming generations of Alpha Sigs. Philanthropy Efforts Former HSP Brother, Christopher Sibley '14, organized our annual Talisman Rose Queen competition. During the competition, we had ten sorority participants hoping to earn the title of Talisman Rose Queen. The competition raised over $1,500 to benefit childhood cancer re- search. At the winter formal held in Vancouver BC, Gabby, from Delta Gamma, was crowned Talisman Rose Queen. Brothers have been working hard to embody the values of charity which the Chapter so much believes in. Brother Aiden Jensen '15, Philan- thropy Chairman, has been working with Brother Jasper Bourgette '14 to raise money for Delta Gamma's annual Anchor Splash philanthropy, benefiting Service for Sight. They hope to raise $5,000. Recruitment Update The recruitment team did an incredible job this quarter, signing an im- pressive 10-man spring pledge class, one of the largest in recent years. Campus Involvement Outside of the chapter, Mu continues to better itself by maintaining heavy involve- ment on campus. Brother Sunjay Mouli '14 received a $50,000 grant for his re- search within the department of bioengineering. He is working alongside the department of sports medicine to study tissue regeneration and its application in orthopedic surgery. In the field of electrical engineering, Brother Anthony Grig- ore '12 and Brother Rigo Orozco '12 have been making incredible strides in their work on the UW Hyperloop team.
