ann Cowan van Doren '44 lives in Manhattan,
Kan., at Via Christi Village.
Helen russell Sparling '45 was a high school
English teacher until she got married to her husband,
Robert, in 1949. She lives in Topeka, Kan.
ona Swearingen tonge '60 had a career as
director of a large church pre-school for 25
years. She now enjoys retirement and has time
for church activities, family and friends, and
traveling. Ona lives with her husband, John, in

Sarah Brooner '61 has been around the world
assessing hospitals and clinics for Project
C.U.R.E., which is headquartered in Denver.
She also teaches at Camden County College
in New Jersey. She and her husband, George,
celebrated 50 years of marriage last year. Sarah
writes that Jan Kimball Warren '61 lives
nearby. Sarah and George live in Philadelphia,

Jeanne "Bourge" Hathaway '64 shares that
it's hard to believe it's been 51 years since
becoming an Alpha Chi Omega. She hopes all
Alpha Chis will carry the love and light they

tracy Peppel Henry '74 has a granddaughter,
Stella, who was born in 2014. She keeps
busy babysitting, volunteering, doing yoga,
and supporting the Jayhawks. She and her
husband, Robert, live in Basehor, Kan. E-mail:

Kimberly Cochran '77 works as a neurologist
for a hospital just outside of Kansas City.
She is married with four children and four
grandchildren. Her husband, Stacey, is a
pharmacy director for another hospital. They
enjoy car racing and writing music, and they
live in Olathe, Kan.
Sarah morris Cox '96 was recently promoted
to the rank of sergeant at the Salina Police
Department in Salina, Kan. She is the
first female sergeant since 1979, and the
second female to serve as part of the police
administration. She has been a police officer for
15 years and is happily married to her husband,

naturalist guide in Juneau, Alaska. She is now
working in South Korea as a science teacher
