PAGE A2 LOCAL CALENDAR By Heather Hoelscher hhoelscher@redbluffdailynews.com @DN_Heather on Twitter RED BLUFF Red Bluff Union High School has welcomed three new faces to the administration team for the upcoming school year. The new additions to the administration team include Michael Tambini as principal, Cindy Haase as associate principal and dean of students and Sara Smith as director of education services. "We have a great new team here," said Todd Brose, superintendent of the Red Bluff Union High School District. The team was selected with an eye on continu- ing to provide the best for the students, Brose said. As principal, Tambini, who has been working in the education field for 27 years and is the for- mer principal at Liberty Ranch High School in Galt, says he'll bring enthusiasm, camaraderie and accountability to the team. Haase, who has been with the district for 26 years, said she is excited to engage with all stu- dents on campus, not just the students in her classroom. Her job entails discipline, dress code enforcement and attendance, among other things. Smith, who's been in the education field for 11 years, will be pioneering a new position this coming school year. She will be in charge of spe- cial education, adult education and independent studies at the high school. Smith said she will bring a philosophy of in- clusion to the campus. She is looking forward to preparing students for college and their fu- ture careers. Smith's position was created to provide extra support for students and those who have gone through emotional traumas, Brose said. The new hires will start their new positions on July 1. Wyatt Broner played guitar accompaniment to Selena Dobson and Tasha Pimen- tel for the other musical se- lection. He has many fond memories of driving some of them from Chico and Corning up to Red Bluff. Students Madeline Flynn, Gillian Coelho, Jon Ross and Minju Ahn were the student speakers with Flynn being the first one up.
