EACH OF THE FEATURED STUDENTS IS CONSIDERED A STANDOUT AMONG THEIR PEERS – IN ACADEMICS, STUDENT LEADERSHIP, SPORTS OR OTHER ACTIVITIES. STUDENTS WERE SELECTED FOR RECOGNITION BY THEIR SCHOOLS, AND THE SCHOOLS PROVIDED THE TEXT AND PHOTOS. The number of students from each school was determined by the approximate percentage of total Middle and High School students in Tehama County represented by each school. All schools in Tehama County with Middle and High school students were invited to participate. If you note that a school is not represented, it is because the school did not have any students in grades 6-12 or chose not to participate this year. Special thanks to the local businesses that joined the Daily News in sponsoring this special salute to Tehama County's "Students of Distinction."
