P roud is an understatement to describe how impressed I am by the 24 slated officers' leadership skills and constant determination to make our chapter the best it can be. The executive committee, which consists of eight members, is a more collaborative group than I could have ever imagined. Our goals and visions for the chapter are the same and, having achieved so much already, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year holds. SCHOLARSHIP GOALS I am excited to announce that Theta received second place in the Panhellenic GPA ranking. This means we jumped up three places from fifth in the spring 2015 semester. We strive more than ever to be number one! Scholarship Director Lila Lowe '13 is doing a wonderful job of providing monthly and semesterly incentives and study hall opportunities to keep members motivated to make academics a priority. PHILANTHROPIC SUCCESS Service opportunities are plentiful and Service Director Natasha Ceaser '13 keeps all members updated every day and plans our chapter's philanthropy events. This spring, we hosted a fundraiser at Whitewood Lanes Bowling to benefit CASA of the South Plains. Since Paws for CASA was such a success, raising more than $2,000, we plan on having the second annual Paws for CASA next fall. THANK YOU, ALUMNAE Gamma Phi Chapter eagerly awaits the grand opening of our beautiful new lodge. The capital campaign committee has worked so hard, and it is difficult to express exactly how grateful we are for their continuous efforts and passion toward this project. This new lodge will be the place of many sweet, shared memories and a place to continue the growth of Theta sisterhood. The members of Gamma Phi are truly remarkable in their dedication toward exemplifying Theta and Texas Tech University positively. I have truly experienced the benefits of sisterhood this year and could not ask for a better group of women to serve beside. I am so excited about the future and potential of the Gamma Phi Chapter and am honored to be a part of it.
