The previous three seasons that were shown on A&E Network all had home-video releases, and as indicated by the show having enough of a fan base for Netflix to revive it, there's economic justifica- tion for also issuing Season 4 ... underscored by the fact that, as with you, those episodes will be brand-new to viewers who don't have Netflix. The general pattern has been to debut the previous season of a show on DVD just before the newest sea- son begins. While Netflix hadn't announced a "Long- mire" Season 5 premiere date by this column's deadline, Season 4 debuted last Sep- tember, so it's a fair bet that DVD will be issued by Warner Bros.
