Rushton '68 Sigma Chi Grows GPA and Community Outreach at K-State T he spring semester is jam-packed for the Delta Upsilon Chapter. We began recruitment season by searching for men who embody the Jordan Standard and have high ideals, academic achievements, and strong leadership skills to carry on our traditions. Our GPA continues to climb each semester as we strive for academic excellence. From the fall semester, we advanced four places in the fraternity rankings and passed the all-undergraduate men's GPA. To give back to our community, we are in the process of becoming involved with No Stone Unturned, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support and research of children with health disabilities and their families. Our role will be helping with setup for their Autism Speaks Walk and working with kids who have disabilities. We are extremely excited for Derby Days, our national philanthropy, this spring. We expect to have over half of the sororities participate this year. The theme for Derby Days is Take Me Out to the Derby, in honor of the Royals winning the World Series. All funds we raise go to research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The Delta Upsilon Chapter looks forward to another great semester as we continue to uphold the values of friendship, justice, and learning.
