Honoring our Past, Building our Future PHi sigma KaPPa | delta triton CHaPter | Purdue university I ask for your help in a very important undertaking for Phi Sigma Kappa at Purdue University. The Alumni Board has worked diligently to position Delta Triton for the future. Today, we proudly announce the Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future campaign. Through this capital campaign, we will construct a new home at our historic 302 Waldron Street location. This vital project is designed to secure our future and provide an improved environment for generations of brothers. A NECESSARY UNDERTAKING In the coming weeks, you will receive a brochure that outlines our vision. It is a bold plan and large undertaking but one that is necessary for the vitality and success of our chapter. We must improve the safety and livability of our facility to attract and retain the best and brightest men at Purdue. Our chapter is working at a disadvantage as other fraternities and university housing surpass what we offer our members. We have a responsibility to provide a safe and sound structure for our undergraduates. To fulfill this responsibility, a major investment is needed, and the time is now. REMAINING COMPETITIVE Hundreds of young men have had the fortune to call 302 Waldron home. Time has definitely taken its toll, however, and growing maintenance concerns, unstable infrastructure, and important life-safety issues require us to act. As the needs of today's students evolve, we must rebuild to ensure brothers have the space and resources required for success at Purdue. OUR PLAN The alumni and undergraduate leadership developed a tactical approach to provide a facility that will meet the needs of both our undergraduate brothers and future generations. The result is a $3.3 million comprehensive plan to offer a competitive living space at our historic location and to ensure the continuity of the legacy that each of us helped build. Through a careful evaluation of the capability of our alumni, we set a feasible fundraising goal of $1.75 million. ALUMNI AND LOYAL FRIENDS CONTRIBUTE $1.02 MILLION I would like to thank the campaign committee for all their time and effort, as well as the era and class leaders, who will continue working to distribute the message and get classmates involved. Most of all, a special thank- you goes to the donors of the campaign who have given so generously. Early commitments from these dedicated brothers and their families total $1,020,768. I hope the example they set will inspire you to give so that this campaign lives up to the legacy of the Delta Triton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. HOW YOU CAN HELP Brothers, we now have a chance to repay in a small way what Delta Triton provided us: a home away from home, where we learned the joys and responsibilities of friendship and brotherhood. This is our opportunity to preserve Delta Triton's legacy for future generations. We must challenge one another to support this campaign and reconnect to our chapter. I know that the principles and ideals we all learned as Phi Sigma Kappa men will inspire us as we consider what we can do individually and collectively. Every contribution counts and every gift will benefit future Delta Triton men. I am asking for your help. Please consider joining our growing list of loyal supporters of the Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future campaign. Please contact me if you have questions or want to know how to get involved. Your participation will make a difference.
