Theta Iota kicked off the spring semester on
a positive note. The new study app that we
experimented with last semester helped our
chapter move up to fifth place in grades in the fall.
We moved up two spots out of the 12 sororities
on campus. More than 30 sisters achieved 4.0
GPAs. This motivates us to work even harder to
continue advancing our academics in the future.
A main priority for the chapter is ensuring that
members stay involved. We implemented a point
system encouraging women to stay active in
campus, external philanthropy, and community
events, all while gaining points that privilege
the member to go to all social functions. It is a
goal every semester to increase our earnings to
donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
and after two of our members visited St. Jude,
we've really boosted the chapter's expectations
for 2016. We began addressing our Sincerely
Yours letters to family and friends to encourage
our fundraising efforts. We are also in the
process of planning our second annual Drive
Thru for St. Jude.
At the beginning of February,
we were excited for our
mothers join us for Mom's
Weekend. They participated in facials, a live
acoustic concert by Manhattan native, Jared
Daniels, brunch, and a silent auction. The 2016
chapter officers have done an incredible job so
far, and the chapter looks forward to seeing what
is planned for the future.
If you want to get to know our officer team, as
well as other members of the chapter, please
look at our updated website at www.kstate.
tridelta.org. As always, if you find yourself in
Manhattan, please stop by for a visit. The sisters
would love to welcome you back home.
Delta Love,
