5 ALPHA DELTA PI Erin Whitehead '14 welcomes home her future diamond sister Payton Thompson '15 on Bid Day 2015. Marcia Booker Walker '79 retired from the Air Force Reserve in 2011 after 29 years of service. She continues to wear the AF uniform as a Junior ROTC teacher at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City. She is working to "develop citizens of character." She and her husband, Steve, recently built their retirement home in Choctaw, though they are not retired yet. E-mail: marciawalker@cox.net Anne Parkinson Patton '81 has a daughter, Katie, who is a 2012 graduate of Texas A&M with a degree in biology and works at ATI (Arrhythmia Technology Institute). Her son, Cameron, is a 2014 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in business and works at Stinnett & Associates. Her youngest daughter, Leslie, is a 2015 graduate of Syracuse University and is working toward her Ph.D. in biochemistry at Texas A&M. They have been married 30 years and their son, Daniel, works for Halliburton in Duncan, Okla. Their daughter, Katie, is pursuing a master's in occupational therapy at Xavier University. E-mail: Daksmadnew@gmail.com Donya Whitfill Gartside '89 recently took a new job helping teachers incorporate technology into their elementary classrooms after 24 years in the classroom. E-mail: donyagartside@me.com Carol Strahin '89 and her husband are retired and have a fifth wheel trailer. They both enjoy traveling all over the U.S. and have four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Her daughter, Brenda Strahin Vega, graduated from OSU and lives about three miles from Carol. Her other children live in Oklahoma. Amy Costner-Lark '94 received her BSN from the University of Oklahoma, her MSN from Vanderbilt University, and her Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner from George Washington University. She teaches the master's program in nursing and also works at Baptist Integris in their heart transplant department. Amy also leads medical missions to Ecuador and Peru with her own non-profit, Costner Medical Missions. She is married to Stephen Lark, who works at Communication Federal in OKC, and has a daughter, Lara Grace, who was born in 2014. The family lives in Edmond, Okla. E-mail: schoaps@gmail.com Bethany Hamilton '04 has worked as a clinical dietician at Intergris Bass Healthcare and adopted a rescue dog named Bella three months ago. She is a joy and loves to wear azure blue. Beth works with three other ADPis, one from AO and the other two from other chapters. "It is neat to have this common bond!" She and her husband bought their first house in April 2015 and are enjoying all the projects that come with that. After a 15-month provisional period, she is now an active member of the Junior League of Houston. She spent her first year volunteering at Texas Children's Hospital and now volunteers with the Houston SPCA. In her free time, she enjoys connecting on social media and blogging at Amber-Oliver.com. She also spends time with her dog, Barkley (@TailsOfBarkley). Samantha Vincent '12 helped create an Oklahoma Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and was promoted in May 2015 from night crime reporter to general assignment reporter at the Tulsa World.
