ALPHA OMICRON CHAPTER OF ALPHA DELTA PI AT OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY SPRING 2016 The House Corporation, Collegians Celebrate at state Day Alumnae Encouraged to Reconnect with Sisters E arlier this spring, more than 200 alumnae and collegians joined in Stillwater for the annual Alpha Delta Pi State Day celebrations. During this event, our undergraduate members were presented with numerous awards based on their accomplishments in 2015. It was an exciting day for all, and we were honored to have Dawn Victor-Herring, President of the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, deliver the keynote address. State Day 2016 was the perfect way to reflect on all that happened at Alpha Omicron and on the Oklahoma State campus over the past year. Our undergraduates continue to impress me each day, and they are already looking forward to another fantastic semester. Since 1954, when the current Chapter House was dedicated, Alpha Omicron members and alumnae of Oklahoma State have called 1309 W. University home. Since then, hundreds of women have walked those halls celebrating countless Cowboy victories, studying together, and bonding as sisters. The chapter continues to grow and we now have more than 180 undergraduate members, which is on par with other sororities on campus. We anticipate almost 1,000 women will participate in formal recruitment in August, which means our Chapter will be even larger later this year. The House Corporation (HC) Board continues to evaluate the chapter's housing situation and to strategically plan for the future of the chapter. It is imperative for Alpha Delta Pi to remain competitive with other sororities at Oklahoma State University and the HC Board is formulating building plans to ensure our success. This is a great time to be a member of Alpha Delta Pi and AO, and it's important that our bond of sisterhood remain strong. I encourage you to reach out to sisters that you haven't seen or talked to in awhile and reconnect with them. I also invite you to connect with other AO alumnae online. This is a great way to foster those relationships, as well as network with women from all eras. Remember, Alpha Delta Pi is for a lifetime!
