FTCC's IT Classes Preps Students for Industry Certs
Technology area, industry certifications play a big role. That is especially true here in the Fayetteville area because Department of Defense Directive 8570 requires all military, civilian and contract personnel who handle information processing and assurance for department systems to have industry certifications appropriate for the jobs they perform. Fayetteville Technical Community College is able to help you reach your IT certification goals in several ways. First of all, FTCC offers several combinations of IT- related courses and certificate programs that will help you prepare for industry certifications. These certificate programs include sets of courses to help you prepare for CompTIA's A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Server+, for Cisco's CCENT and CCNA and for Microsoft's MCITP.

In addition, because of our membership with CompTIA as an education partner, we are allowed to assist students in purchasing vouchers for these industry certification exams for almost half off the regular price of the CompTIA exams, a savings of up to $125 for each voucher. If you have already achieved any of these industry certifications on your own, you can be well on your way to an A.A.S. degree at FTCC. We are able to give you Credit for Prior Learning competency credit for the cluster of courses making up the certificate to help you on your way to your selected degree in the IT field.
