EMPLOYMENT Jo b an d re so ur ce fair scheduled St. Elizabeth Commu- nity Hospital has recently introduced ambulance service via Dignity Health Medical Transport Ser- vices. By enrolling for a low yearly membership fee, patients save thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses in the event am- bulance transport to the hospital is necessary. The service is available for lo- cal residents beginning in April. A ground ambulance can cost thousands of dol- lars per trip. Most insur- ance plans cover between 50 and 80 percent of this cost. Anything not cov- ered must be paid by the patient. With a membership, pa- tients never have out-of- pocket expenses for medi- cally necessary ambulance transport, whether it's to St. Elizabeth for an emer- gency or, if necessary, from St. Elizabeth to another hospital in the area. Calling the service is as easy as calling 9-1-1. The 911 dispatchers are trained to get specific information about a particular emer- gency and determine the type of transportation that best fits a situation. If ground transport to the hospital is appropriate, the service will be dispatched. There is no limit to how many times the service can be used over the course of a year. A membership ensures medically necessary trans- portation. HEALTH Hospital introduces medical transport service FollowusonTwitterandFacebook.
