ENTRE NOUS 2 WELCOME, NEW ANGELS Last fall, our chapter initiated 67 amazing young women. These women are brilliant, determined, passionate, and perfect examples of what a Pi Phi truly is. The ceremonies were beautiful and we are so proud to have these women in our wonderful chapter. RING CHING ROADSHOW The first couple of weeks of the spring semester have been very eventful. Our chapter welcomed the Ring Ching Roadshow to our home on January 11. In celebration of 150 years of Pi Phi sisterhood, Libbie the car— named for our youngest founder, Libbie Brook Gaddis—is visiting chapters and alumnae clubs in the United States and Canada. We were so honored to have Libbie visit us and see what our chapter is all about. Flashing lights, a red carpet, and big balloons decorated the back driveway of the house to greet Libbie when she arrived. Needless to say, Libbie felt like a true celebrity! PI PHI COLLEGE WEEKEND IN ST. LOUIS In late January, Vice President of Membership Gurmehr Brar '14 and I traveled to St. Louis for Pi Beta Phi's annual College Weekend for collegiate leaders. We attended many different meetings and learned about new ways to operate all aspects of the chapter. In addition, we were also able to meet Pi Phis from chapters all over the country. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. CHAPTER HONORED FOR GIVING BACK Also this spring, Pi Beta Phi Foundation Executive Director Hallee Winnie, Michigan Gamma, gave out awards at College Weekend to the top 10 chapters for giving to Pi Beta Phi Foundation. Our chapter came in fourth in the nation! I was completely honored and thrilled to accept the award on our behalf. We raised an average of $180 per member for the Foundation in 2015. We cannot wait to work toward being the number-one chapter next year! I am so proud of the amazing things our women are accomplishing on a daily basis. We have women who are involved in many different on-campus organizations, varsity athletics, and internships with very impressive companies. I am honored to lead this wonderful group of women for the next year, and I promise you all would be just as proud of them as I am.
