Our Legacy – Beta OmicrOn's Future S ince 1886, Beta Omicron has developed Men of Principle at the University of Texas. Men who, building off their Beta experience, have gone on to distinguish themselves as leaders in their professions, communities, and fields of service. The bond of the Beta experience is one we all treasure to this day, having played a significant role in the personal and professional development of all members who called the Beta house their home in Austin. Over 2,200 men have been initiated into our great brotherhood with more than 1,500 alumni today spread out across Texas and beyond. While the past 128 years have seen trials and tribulations for the Chapter, there is no doubt our best days are ahead. Today we have an opportunity to rebuild Beta Omicron stronger than ever before based off the foundation of the Men of Principle initiative. The future of Beta Omicron is in our hands and it is time we come together to ensure our legacy is preserved for years to come. The road to reestablishing Beta as the leading fraternity on the University of Texas campus is a welcomed challenge. It requires careful planning, significant alumni support, and, most importantly, a vision of what Beta Omicron can be once again. This road is undoubtedly worthwhile to travel; the foundation we establish will affect thousands of young men at Texas over the next 100 years by providing them a framework to develop into leaders, live among brothers, and learn to become better members of society. We welcome you to read more about this vision and how together we can Build the Future of Texas Beta. "We all have a chance to be part of creating a solid experience for 40 to 50 young men coming into Beta at Texas every year, to help mold each of them into being the best they can be. It is especially timely for alumni of my era, since we may not have another chance to be part of something big for Beta and to give something back that we believe will be meaningful for years to come." – Will Jordan '59
